Love and other Drugs

My "drugs" from Canada have finally arrived care of @ellen_mt. You can't imagine how happy I was to receive the LBC package. Although I grew up in the Philippines, my body has morphed into its North American version over the years, thus rendering my immune system to a minimal. There are days when I can't even see out of my eyes because of how swollen they are, and nights when I end up finishing tissue paper rolls (sorry cuz!).

Now... it doesn't seem like a big deal receiving my medications, but just like how these "saving" pills came in the mail, so too did the GOOD great news from a friend via iM. His personal message could not have come at the most ideal time. I am filled with SO much joy and happiness right now. I feel like God is trying to tell me that he has heard my prayers and that like my medication he will rid me off the toxins (in my mind) and give me a clearer view of what is to come.

If that wasn't enough, the March 19 x Love Cloud post really nailed it. Today the church celebrates the Solemnity of Joseph. He doubted his marriage to Mother Mary, as she was already with child. He was given a very difficult situation to understand. However after God spoke to him in a dream, instead of running away he asked for the grace to discern instead. I take this post to be yet another affirmation that I need not worry or doubt His plans for me because these plans are very much real and THEY. WILL. HAPPEN.
"We know that just like how the Lord has seen through Joseph, God will also see us through, even at the point where we make the wrong choices or the wrong decisions. Do not fret my friends, for as quickly as we return the loving gaze of our Father, he sees through us and sees us through.
Pray and embrace your situation, for that is God’s will for you. (1 Thessalonians 5: 17-18)
Let us learn from Jesus’ father, our St. Joseph. Let us turn to the Lord and let Him provide us with the grace to discern well, be sensitive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, and strive to be righteous. When tested by doubts, worries and anxieties, have faith because God takes notice and He sees us through."
I don't know about you but when I'm really desperate for God to speak to me, I seek him out in everything. Because of my recent faith journey experiences, I have learned to really fine tune my ability to pick out his messages within my life. Prayer is a conversation, right? So of course God is going to give you a reply! How weird would it be to only have a one way conversation all the time? Sometimes his reply is through a fellow brother or sister. It happened to me a lot before I left for the Philippines and I know that God is doing the same thing again.

There are certain people that I know are working on their own journeys towards God's path. To you I say, keep seeking Him out. Be relentless in your search for Him. When we chose to say Yes to him we were more than aware that the road would not be easy.

We are in the same journey regardless of where in the world we are and what path is being presented to us. The itinerary may be different but in the end, we're all going to end up at the same place- in His arms.

Like my blog tagline says, we are here to CLAIM what has ALREADY been won by Him. So brothers & sisters let's stay focused on God and the rest will be revealed.

Lord, I humbly ask that you make known to me the path You want me to take for the next few weeks. I want nothing more at this moment than to serve You and to spread your good news to others. Love is not something to be kept for one's self rather it is to be shared with others. Equip me with what I need so that I may have the ability to accompany a fellow brother in his trip around the Philippines. Help us to plan out our "service map" so that we may be able to do Your work. Amen.
